Transfers

Transfer your ISO certificate to us

Move an accredited certificate mid-cycle without a gap in certification. Your expiry date and audit timetable stay the same.

Changing certification body

Organisations move certification body for many reasons: a new group structure, a wish for auditors in their own region, or simply better service. Transfers between accredited bodies follow IAF MD 2, so recognition of your certificate continues.

We review your current certificate and reports before accepting the transfer. In most cases this is a document review; a visit is only needed when something in the record needs checking in person.

What we need from you

  • Your current certificate and its scope
  • The last certification or recertification audit report
  • Surveillance audit reports since then
  • The status of any open nonconformities
  • Any complaints received and the action taken

Who can transfer

  • Holders of a valid, accredited certificate
  • Certificates issued under an IAF MLA signatory
  • Certificates that are not suspended or under threat of suspension
  • Organisations with major nonconformities closed out

How a transfer works

  1. 01

    Send your current certificate

Share your certificate, the last audit report and any open nonconformities. Transfers apply to accredited, valid certificates.

  2. 02

    Pre-transfer review

We check the certificate’s status and accreditation, review the reports and confirm any open findings. A visit is only needed in some cases.

  3. 03

    Certificate issued

We issue our certificate for the remainder of your current cycle, so your expiry date and audit timetable stay the same.

  4. 04

    Next audit

Your next surveillance or recertification audit continues on the existing schedule, run by our auditors.
